Tina Juan Park - Pianist & Teacher

I have worked to build a career as both as a concert pianist and a piano teacher. I grew up in China and went to college at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. I came to the United States to pursue my masters on a performance scholarship at Notre Dame University. Afterwards I came to Minnesota where I studied at the University of Minnesota and received my doctorate in music.

I maintain an active studio of students of all ages and levels. I teach out of three locations (St. Paul, Blaine, Eden Prairie). I also serve as assistant professor of piano at Bethel University where I perform regularly as a soloist and in chamber groups. In 2023 co-founded the Bethel University Summer Piano Academy Camp. The program provides a performance and learning platform for Twin Cities area youth ages nine to eighteen. I am a member of both Music Teacher National Association and Minnesota Music Teacher Association.

I prepare students for piano exams, competitions and festivals and regular recitals. It is by creating challenges and opportunities for student growth that I am able to help these young musicians improve their skills and develop a higher level of artistry.

I have been teaching for over twenty years yet each day I continue to feel lucky to share music with my students. Music uplifts, inspires and cleanses the human being soul. Its poetic sentiment and supernal beauty communicate with our very being. I teach to my students with all what I have experienced in this powerful and sophisticated language. I believe that regardless of students who study piano as a profession or as a hobby, music creates a different way to experience the world, creates new connections, and makes life more enriched and profound.
